Here my primary purpose is to introduce myself to you – but what does that mean exactly? An introduction is a moment in which we meet someone or come in contact with something for the very first time. It is the moment that many consider crucial as it also encompasses the first impression. However, we all know that first impressions can sometimes be a little misleading. So, with that in mind, allow me to tell you a bit about me.
First, I am a Native Eugenean. I was born in Oregon in the mid-1980s and as a result, have had a very strong PNW influence, but I wasn’t always in the area. My mom chose to move me to the State of Tennessee when I was eleven years old. Admittedly, this was a very strange change for me and it included a great deal of culture shock but after a few years, I became accustomed to my surroundings and even developed some great relationships with many people in the state.
Later in life, I moved to Southern Alabama and the Panhandle area of Florida so I’ve enjoyed very diverse landscapes, cultures, and people throughout my thirty-plus years of living. I am committed to standing up for a few particular things such as social injustice, homeless advocacy and the global environment. This is due, in part, to being a parent and how very precious I believe the children of our planet are the the future. If we do not care about what we are doing and have now – it is certain that in time that those things will be lost and it is our job as the present adults to do our own due diligence in addressing those issues.
I am a published author, poet and freelance writer and I thoroughly enjoy writing as my primary means of income and also as a hobby. I possess two college degrees; one that happens to be a Master’s degree and consider myself to be a life-long learner. I’m here to help Brandon’s blog grow and to produce quality articles and blogs while entertaining and educating his audience – and it is my utmost pleasure to do so.
Thanks for having me and I hope that my contributions will serve all of your needs.
